SUR LE JOURNALISME…

The Centre for Journalism at the University of Southern Denmark is expanding rapidly these years, and we now seek an assistant professor in Digital Journalism to join our faculty in August 2013 for a three-year period. The Centre for Journalism has close to 600 journalism students, a faculty of about 30 people and several different study programmes (Bachelor, Master, professional master, PhD etc.). The centre is part of the Department of Political Science and Public Management, where researchers with backgrounds ranging from political science to journalism work closely together. Du pigeon voyageur à Twitter Histoires matérielles du journalisme 2013, 96 pages L’information prend vie sous la plume des journalistes, le martèlement des machines à écrire ou des claviers d’ordinateurs. Elle se disperse parfois en flux de tweets, emprunte tour à tour des calèches, des fils télégraphiques, des câbles en fibre optique. Les nouvelles n’existeraient pas sans ceux qui les confectionnent : reporters baroudeurs, employés précaires, ou journalistes salariés – ces professionnels de l’information qui voient leurs pratiques osciller entre artisanat et production industrielle. Parution du numéro 2 de la revue scientifique internationale Sur le journalisme – About journalism – Sobre jornalismo. (http://surlejournalisme.com/rev) Le dossier de ce numéro 2 est consacré aux Sources et flux de nouvelles (Vol.2, n1, avril 2013). Il a été préparé par Eric Lagneau, Jérémie Nicey, Michael Palmer et Franck Rebillard. D’autres numéros sont en préparation : – les images d’actualité – le « gouvernement » des journalistes – les invisibles de la production journalistique – les supports mobiles. La revue est disponible en ligne (http://surlejournalisme.com/rev) et en version imprimée (pour le premier numéro). Vous pouvez proposer des textes, et vous inscrire sur le site de la revue en tant qu’évaluateur de textes à venir. La revue publie des textes scientifiques sur le journalisme en trois langues principalement (français, anglais, portugais), ainsi qu’en espagnol.

Media and identities: Actors or instruments in the construction of community, ethnic and national belongings? (Call for paper) Conference organized in collaboration with the Department of Information Science and Communication of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the Universit̩ libre de Bruxelles, ReSIC, CEVIPOL, and the Faculty of Economic, Social, Political and Communication Sciences of the Catholic University of Louvain. This post is based in the School of Media, Film and Journalism which is recognised as a centre of excellence for its integration of media theory, industry-accredited practice and skills, and internationally excellent research. Research is co-ordinated through the Centre for Media Research (CMR) and in RAE 2008, media research at Ulster was ranked in the top 10 media submissions.
