Wednesday, October 17, 2006 at 5:30 p.m. (East Commons Room, Hart House, University of Toronto).

Canadians are among the most generous on the planet, donating $8 billion to 80,000 registered charities across the country each year. These contributions represent a growing proportion of the revenue base required to feed the hungry, keep communities safe, educate and maintain the health of our citizens, sustain the nation’s ecosystems and preserve its cultural identity. * How should it improve accountability ?
* Why should the public care ?
* What is the role of the media ?
